I’ve been writing about architecture and interiors for most of my career, and have a particular interest in biophilic design. I am continually fascinated by the many ways in which the natural world can influence our state of being.

After starting out at ELLE Decoration over two decades ago, I went on to become the title’s Homes Director as well as editor of ELLE Decoration Country: a luxury, standalone bi-annual journal that I conceived and launched during my time in house. Celebrating slow living, simplicity and craftsmanship, the publication covered rural spaces and destinations all over the world.

I’ve written multiple books for Phaidon and Gestalten, and am a contributing writer for Livingetc and Table Magazine. I’ve also worked as an editor and strategist at Monocle’s creative agency, Winkreative, and an editorial director at global advertising agency AMV BBDO. 

Brands I’ve worked with include Carl Hansen & Søn, The Barbican, Mandarin Oriental, Relais & Châteaux, John Lewis and M&S. I’ve also had the pleasure of collaborating with numerous solo creatives and independent businesses.
